Spork! Poetry presents The Workshop Workshop (How to Facilitate with Kat Francois)

 

An in-depth session for anybody interested in facilitating creative workshops, from primary schools to prisons. Led by educator and performance artist Kat Francois. 

In this 90 min session you'll learn about the different types of facilitation, how to approach new groups, how to structure your courses & workshops, both in-person and online. 

You will also receive tips and suggestions on how to secure and maintain work as a facilitator , what to expect from different organisations, and what support you should ask for. 

The workshop will take place via Zoom with the chance to ask Kat questions at the end. You'll receive a link to join the meeting when you book. 

 

Kat Francois is an Educator, Poetry & Drama Performance Artist & Teacher, Playwright and Fitness Instructor. BBC TV and World Slam Champion.

Throughout the pandemic, Kat has been running workshops online, to schools and children out of school in the UK and Europe, and to adults in the UK and around the world, on writing and performance skills, writing as therapy, as well as fitness and wellbeing classes.

Kat has appeared on BBC Radio 4's Front Row, Saturday Live and Woman's Hour, Radio 5 Live, Sky and BBC television.
